I can’t think of a crazier way to start off the year…
The team and I have been on a slew of calls over the last week or so, plotting and planning on how we’re going to make 2022 our “breakout year”.
And honestly, some of the ideas that we’re playing with right now are things that I never could’ve imagined being able to make happen even 6 months ago.
That’s why today I want to talk about momentum.
It’s a concept that not many people talk about or understand, but it’s one that has an insane amount of potential to change your life.
Let me break this down simply for you.
When we put a lot of work or energy into anything in life, we create momentum for ourselves based on the actions that we’re putting the energy into.
For example…if you’re in the gym going hard working on your basketball skills for months on end, that momentum carries you into becoming a better player.
And now that you’re seeing the results start to pay off, it makes you want to train even harder…and in the next few months, you notice that you’ve made even more progress and the cycle repeats itself.
This sounds great, but it also cuts the other way as well.
If you skip your workouts, you’re not going to make the progress that you want…which leaves you disappointed and demotivated.
Now you’re skipping more workouts, and another few months go by and you’re not getting any better than you were before.
It sounds like a far-off concept, but any high achiever you’ve ever looked up to created momentum in their favor in one way or another (even if they didn’t realize that’s what they were fin doing…)
Here at ITL, we’re riding the momentum of the work we’ve put in over the last 6 months, so we’re cruising right now.
Here’s your assignment for today…
Think about how you can make momentum work for you in these next 3-4 months. If you do this, I promise you…you’ll level up in whatever area you choose faster than you’ve ever seen.
